Looking for data and experts to develop the Ukrainian Large Language Model

The Ministry of Digital Transformation and Kyivstar continue working on a Ukrainian Large Language Model. To ensure high-quality LLM development, we are collecting training data and forming a team of experts.

Experts

We are looking for professionals who want to build Ukraine’s AI sovereignty. What matters to us: proven professional experience, specialized higher education, large-scale projects in your portfolio, excellent reputation, and scientific or professional publications.

We are seeking specialists in the fields of:

  • Technology and science: architects, ML engineers, data scientists, QA engineers, project managers, natural language processing experts, etc.

  • Ethics and law: human rights defenders, anti-discrimination and bias experts, data protection and intellectual property lawyers, etc.

  • Culture and history: historians, cultural experts, specialists in countering propaganda, etc.

  • Linguistics: linguists, literary scholars, translators, editors, dialectologists, etc.

Experts will work in the LLM Development Working Group or in the Kyivstar project office.
We remind you that the leads of specialized areas coordinating the LLM development have already been appointed: Oleksii Molchanovskyi, Olena Andriienko, Oleksandr Alfiorov, and Yuliia Chernobrov.

Data for the LLM

To train the national model, diverse datasets are needed — this way it will better understand the Ukrainian context and provide high-quality answers. That’s why we invite companies, media, civil society, government, and cultural institutions to share their texts and materials.

Tell us about your data that could be useful for building the LLM, and make it part of the national context. This information will form the foundation for the answers of government, defense, and commercial services with millions of users.
