Uniting with Global Tech Leaders for AI Development: How Diia.AI Works on Gemini Technology

The Ministry of Digital Transformation and Google are announcing a new stage of cooperation. The primary focus is on leveraging the company's AI technologies to develop AI-driven government products in Ukraine. Specifically, the world's first national AI assistant, launched on the Diia portal, is already running on the Gemini artificial intelligence model.

The launch of Diia.AI on Gemini is a global case of partnership between business and the state to develop AI solutions for the government and millions of people. AI tools in Mriia and on Diia.Osvita will also run on Gemini. The Diia.AI assistant is built on the Gemini 2.0 Flash model, deployed on the secure Vertex AI cloud platform. Thanks to this, the assistant can:

• Quickly and accurately provide consultations on over 200 public services

• Understand user requests and respond in natural language

• Process requests from millions of citizens without delay

The security of personal data is a priority in the operation of Diia.AI. When using Google's technologies, user data remains secure and is not fed into the Gemini model. All sensitive information is processed exclusively within Diia's secure perimeter.

Diia.AI was developed with the assistance of the project "Digitalization for Growth, Integrity, and Transparency" (UK DIGIT), implemented by the Eurasia Foundation and funded by UK Dev, and with the support of the Swiss-Ukrainian EGAP Program, implemented by the East Europe Foundation.
